Q&A a Day

Years ago my sister purchased me a Q&A a day booklet that has since changed my life. While I was somewhat interested at the time, it took me four years to get into the groove of actually writing down one answer each day to the entirety of 365 questions presented. Yes, I know, four years is a long time! But as I've said before and will continually reinforce, we are all on our own journeys. It's not so much about the amount of time it may take us, but our overall efforts and desires to make change within our lives.

It is totally worth it! When I finally dedicated some space and time for self-reflection, I did not regret it. The book spans a five year period, meaning that you have the ability to review and witness your progression over the course of that time! Questions range from 'What was the last take-out meal you ordered?' to 'What makes you feel wonderful?' It’s truly remarkable to see how your thoughts and opinions change as you age. It's also really interesting to relive what you may have been experiencing at different points in your life, and how you were emotionally impacted.

The approach I use is to read that day's prompt, give myself some space to reflect, then write down a few short sentences as a response. Once I've finished, I reread my answers from prior years so that my vision isn't clouded in that initial moment and I can further witness how my feelings, experiences and thinking has advanced. Check out the booklet here. I can only hope it brings you as much joy and consideration as it has done so for me.
